Effective date: October 7, 2026
Welcome to LiveLocation, a world map of public live cameras run by Staricon (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when you use livelocation.com. They are written to be read, so we kept them plain. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use LiveLocation.
1. What LiveLocation is
LiveLocation helps you find and watch live views that their owners have made public: road and weather cameras from public agencies, science and park cameras, live streams on platforms such as YouTube, and cameras added by their owners. We also show maps, satellite imagery, radar and guides about live cameras. The site is free to use and needs no account.
2. The cameras belong to their owners
The video streams, images and clips on LiveLocation are owned by the agencies, platforms, companies and people who run the cameras, not by us. We do not record, store, re-host or change them; they play in your browser straight from their owners. When you watch a camera, the owner’s own terms and privacy policy may also apply, for example YouTube’s Terms of Service for YouTube streams. Each camera page names its source, and our sources and their licenses are listed on Our sources.
A camera appearing on LiveLocation does not mean its owner endorses LiveLocation, and it does not mean we endorse the camera’s owner or what the camera shows.
3. Our own content
The design of the site, our text, guides, place pages, descriptions, camera lists, status information and the way we organize them are ours or our licensors’, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may share links to any page, and quote short passages with a link back. Map data and place names are used under their own licenses, credited on the pages that use them.
4. No guarantee that a camera is live or accurate
We work hard to show honest, up-to-date status for every camera, but cameras are run by others and can stop, freeze, move, show an old image or change without notice. We cannot promise that any camera is live, working, correctly placed, correctly described, or showing current conditions. Times, weather, sunrise and sunset, and other details are estimates. The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
5. Not for emergencies or safety decisions
LiveLocation is for information and enjoyment. Do not rely on it for decisions that affect anyone’s safety, such as whether to drive, travel, sail, climb, fly or evacuate, or to watch over people or property. Always check official sources such as road agencies, weather services and emergency authorities, and follow their instructions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
6. Using LiveLocation fairly
You may use LiveLocation for your own personal, non-commercial viewing and research. You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl in bulk, copy or download our camera lists, maps, status data or pages, or use our services or programming interfaces to build another product, except through tools we offer for that purpose or with our written permission (normal search-engine and AI crawling of public pages is welcome);
- re-host, record, restream or redistribute camera content through LiveLocation, or frame LiveLocation pages in another site;
- use any camera to watch, follow, harass, stalk, identify or locate a person, or to plan or commit a crime;
- try to find or access private or unsecured cameras through LiveLocation;
- overload, probe, attack or interfere with the site, or get around its rate limits or security;
- send false reports, false camera submissions, spam or harmful code.
We may block access for anyone who breaks these rules.
7. Reports
When you report a camera, please tell the truth. We act on privacy and inappropriate-content reports immediately, by hiding the camera while we review it, so false reports harm camera owners and other viewers.
8. Adding your camera
If you add a camera through Add your camera, you confirm that:
- you own or operate the camera, or you are authorized by its owner;
- it films an outdoor or public space and does not show private interiors, other people’s homes or yards, or people up close;
- where the law requires it, the area has signs about the camera, and any audio is off or lawful;
- showing it on LiveLocation does not break any law or anyone else’s rights.
You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive permission to list the camera, embed and play its stream from its source, show its thumbnail or still image, and describe and link to it on LiveLocation and in our sitemaps and data about LiveLocation’s cameras, for as long as it is listed. You keep all rights in your camera and its content. You can withdraw this permission at any time from your private status link or by contacting us; the camera is hidden at once.
We decide what to list and may decline, edit the description or location of, or remove any camera at any time. Repeated false confirmations lead to a permanent ban from adding cameras.
9. Removal requests
If you own a camera or appear in a view and want a camera removed or corrected, see Remove a camera. Privacy reports hide the camera at once. If you believe something on LiveLocation infringes your copyright, contact us with the details described there and we will respond promptly.
10. Links and other services
LiveLocation links to and embeds other websites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Some links in the future may be affiliate links, which we will label; they do not change the price you pay.
11. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Staricon and the people who work on LiveLocation are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of LiveLocation or of any camera or content shown on it, even if we were told such damage was possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to LiveLocation is limited to US $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
You agree to hold us harmless from claims that arise from your misuse of LiveLocation or from a camera you submitted in breach of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Staricon is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts of that state, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
13. Changes
We may update these terms as LiveLocation grows. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top, and for significant changes we will say so clearly on the site. Using LiveLocation after a change means you accept the new terms.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms: write to us through the Staricon contact page and mention LiveLocation. For a problem with a camera, use the report form. Our privacy practices are described in our Privacy policy.
