Learn about live cameras

The most detailed guide on the web to live cameras: what each type does, how streaming works, and where and how to mount one.

Want your own live view? Do these next

  1. Pick a camera type for the place you want to show.
  2. Plan power and internet: PoE, solar, 4G or Wi-Fi.
  3. Stream it to the world, then add it to LiveLocation.

How we choose cameras

Published on purpose

Only cameras their owners or public agencies publish: official feeds, embeddable streams and owner submissions. Never scanned or unsecured cameras.

Honest status

Every camera is checked automatically: “Live now”, “Snapshot” or “Offline”. Viewers can report problems in one click.

Respect for privacy

Outdoor and public views only. A privacy report hides a camera at once while we look at it. Read our rules.
