This FGC webcam in the Vall de Núria looks across the lake toward the Sanctuary of Núria and its buildings, at about 1,960 m in the eastern Catalan Pyrenees. In the foreground you see a wooden dock with a row of small rowing boats, the dark lake water, and on the far shore the long stone buildings of the sanctuary and hotel, with steep green mountain slopes and peaks rising all around.
Núria is a high mountain valley with no road access: visitors arrive on the Cremallera de Núria, a rack railway from Ribes de Freser and Queralbs, or on foot along an old pilgrim path. The sanctuary has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries. In winter the valley has a small ski area; in summer it is popular for hiking and boating on the lake.
