Live cameras in Rialto, United States

Rialto is a city in the Inland Empire of San Bernardino County, California, about fifty-six miles east of Los Angeles and just below the Cajon Pass. The 2020 census counted about 104,000 people. It began in 1887 as a Methodist colony on the new Santa Fe line between San Bernardino and Pasadena, and the settlers named it after the Rialto Bridge in Venice. Citrus groves once covered the area, and Foothill Boulevard through town became part of U.S. Route 66.

Modern Rialto is better known for logistics. Huge distribution centers for national retailers and online sellers line the north end of the city around Las Colinas, taking advantage of the freeways and rail lines that meet here. One of the biggest fireworks companies in the United States, Pyro Spectaculars, is also based in Rialto.

Warehouse country freeways

All of these cameras are Caltrans views, collected from the state's CWWP2 image service and also visible on QuickMap. Each image is a still that updates every few minutes. Interstate 10 crosses the southern part of Rialto, and State Route 210, the Foothill Freeway, runs across its northern side, so the views mostly show long, wide freeway lanes full of commuters and big rigs heading to and from the warehouses. Interstate 15 and the climb to Cajon Pass are just to the northwest.

Timestamps are Pacific, in step with Los Angeles. Summers are long and hot, often topping one hundred degrees, and the valley can hold haze on still days. In fall and winter, Santa Ana winds sometimes roar out of the Cajon Pass, and high-profile vehicles may face wind advisories. Truck traffic stays heavy through much of the day, while car commuters crowd the freeways early in the morning and again in the late afternoon. Midsummer daylight lasts until roughly eight in the evening.

San Bernardino lies directly to the east, and Fontana borders Rialto on the west, with its own set of freeway cameras on the map.
